Property Tax Rebate Application for Pennsylvania Residents

Since 1971, the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program has provided eligible residents of Pennsylvania with assistance totaling more than $7.6 billion. Applicants are encouraged to electronically submit their applications to mypath.pa.gov. The online filing option was made possible by the state’s Department of Revenue to make it easier for the nearly 450,000 Pennsylvania residents.

The goal is to help older adults and Pennsylvanians with disabilities pay their bills and stay in their homes. This is one of the ways the Shapiro Administration is tinkering with as they look for the best ways to expand that impact. Acting Revenue Secretary Pat Browne wants everyone to encourage other Pennsylvania residents to check their eligibility status and file an application online if they are qualified. This is aimed to ensure that everyone who is eligible receives the vital assistance that this program provides.

Pennsylvania Residents Encouraged to Apply for the Property Tax Rebates

Residents can file rebate applications online at mypath.pa.gov after reviewing eligibility requirements. Submitting an application through myPATH is simple and does not require you to create an account. The applicant’s information about income and rent/property taxes will be requested. To determine the required input and upload of information, the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program instruction booklet should be reviewed.

According to The Meadville Tribune, using mypath.pa.gov helps you to: have fast processing and direct deposit options, and track the status of a claim online. This can also help you get access to error-reducing automatic calculators, instant confirmation that your application has been filed and ensure your sensitive information is safe.
