Californians started receiving their MCTR last October and are still receiving it now. Eligible taxpayers can receive up to $1,050.
$1,050 Middle-Class Tax Refund for California Residents
The state began releasing Middle-Class Tax Refunds last fall. More than 7 million direct deposits have been issued and more than 9 million debit cards have been sent out. The Franchise Tax Board stated that there are still some waiting for the $1,050 one-time payout.
As stated by CNET, These are taxpayers who changed banking information after filing their taxes. FTB said that they are to finish sending out payments this week.

Who Are Qualified for the Middle-Class Tax Refund?
Single filers with an annual income of $250,000 or less are eligible for the MCTR. The same goes for couples who filed jointly with a $500,000 annual income or less.
In addition, you must have lived in California for at least half of the 2020 tax year, filed your state tax return by Oct. 15, 2021, and still be a California resident on the date your payment is issued.
