Parents Were Observed to Have Irregular Behaviors

The parents of missing North Carolina girl Madalina Cojocari are said to have no friends and were mostly quiet throughout the annual group vacations, according to an acquaintance of the family who went on the same vacation.

The parents of the 11-year-old, Diana Cojocari and Christopher Palmiter have been charged and arrested with failure to report a missing child after the disappearance of Mandalina from her hometown in Cornelius. The incident took place North of Charlotte on November 23, 2022, and went unreported for weeks.

Michelle Clark Triscitti describes Diana Cojocari as quiet and kind of on the outskirts during the group vacation, which was made and organized by a big group of friends who were close to Palmiter years ago.

Parents Arrested and Charged After Failing to Report Missing 11-Year-Old Daughter

Her son used to be with Madalina on group vacations, but Triscitti could not recall a lot of interactions with the girl’s parents herself.

The disappearance of Mandalina wasn’t reported to authorities until Dec. 15, when Cojocari told the school officials and local police that she hadn’t seen her daughter go to her bedroom the night of Nov. 23 around 10 p.m. after she got into an argument with Palmiter.

The security camera footage from a Cornelius school bus showed the 11-year-old girl exiting the bus on Nov. 21 — the last day Madanalina showed up for a class at Bailey Middle School — around 5 p.m.

As stated in a post by Fox News, Palmiter told his wife that he did not have any idea where Madalina had gone and asked her the same question in return.

When detectives asked Cojocari why she didn’t report the disappearance of her daughter until Dec. 15, the mother said. She was worried it might start a ‘conflict’ between her and her husband.
