T-Mobile has been dealing with a serious data breach involving the personal data of over 76 million users since 2021.

T-Mobile Deals Data Breach

T-Mobile is known as one of the largest consumer brands in the U.S. Moreover, the telecom collects vast troves of personal information from its customers and prospective customers and profits from that data through its marketing efforts and by selling sensitive consumer information to third parties.

T-Mobile understood it had an enormous responsibility to protect the data it collected and assured consumers through its Privacy Policy that needs administrative, technical, contractual, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information while it is under their control.

Unfortunately, The Telecom giant announced in August 2021  that T-Mobile failed to meet
these obligations and protect sensitive consumer data and that hackers had accessed countless customer names, Social Security numbers, phone numbers, addresses, and dates of birth leading the plaintiffs’ attorneys to announce a consolidated class action lawsuit in May 2022. T-Mobile suffered the most consequential data breaches in American history, over 75 million consumers’ sensitive personal information was compromised.

T-Mobile Settlements

A tentative settlement announcement that affected customers has only a few weeks left to claim their share of the payout fund. According to CNET, In July 2022, T-Mobile agreed to pay $350 million to settle customer claims and $150 million to upgrade its cybersecurity,

T-Mobile also disclosed additional steps in preventing breaches in the future by Creating a Cybersecurity Transformation Office, Engaging in long-term collaborations with industry experts, Committing to investing hundreds of millions of dollars to enhance our current cybersecurity tools and capabilities, and Conducting training courses for employees and partners to understand their critical role in these efforts.

Here’s How to Claim The T-Mobile Payment Settlements

To be eligible to claim you should be part of 76 million T-Mobile-identified customers with potentially compromised personal information.

If you already meet all the needs to be eligible then you can now file a claim on January 23, 2023. If you claim by post your claim must be postmarked by that date. You can file a claim using one of the following procedures:
