Woman In Michigan Murdered Husband By Shooting Him In The Back Of His Head During Argument
A 42-year-old woman was arrested by authorities after allegedly shooting her husband during an argument while her children were at home.
Eastpointe Police Department officers responded to the 17000 block of Veronica Avenue On Dec. 27 at 2:20 a.m., after getting a call about a fatal shooting. When they arrived, they found Carletta Johnson who was “providing aid to her husband who had been shot in the back of the head.”
According to a published post by True Crime Daily, Johnson told the authorities she shot her 43-year-old husband, and officers discovered “several firearms” inside the home. She was then taken into custody without any incident.
An Argument that Did Not End Well
The Macomb County District Attorney’s Office reported that Johnson killed her husband while they were having an argument at their home and charged her with second-degree murder and a firearm felony.
She was sent to the Macomb County Jail with her bond set at $1 million cash. Johnson is reportedly prohibited or not allowed to have contact with her children who were at home at the time of the fatal shooting.
Johnson could face life in prison if charged and convicted of second-degree murder. “Gun violence is not the answer to an argument”, Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido said in a statement.
