MLB Legend’s Daughter is Arrested
Alexandra Eckersley, 26 homeless daughter of MLB Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley is facing felony charges after she misled authorities about the location of her abandoned newborn baby after she gave birth in the forest surrounding Manchester, New Hampshire.
On Dec. 26, Manchester Police Department officers responded to the West Side Arena after receiving a report about a woman with a child in the surrounding wooded area. The Officers and paramedics respond to the report right away, the Manchester Fire Department and American Medical Response told Boston Fox affiliate WFXT TV they arrived on the scene and looked for the newborn in the area where Alexandra Eckersley directed them, but they could not find the child due to the suspect gave multiple locations of where the baby could and could lying for not remembering her baby’s location.
Eckersley has finally admitted the true location of the baby after an hour and led officers to the area where they found the baby and directly transported the infant to a local hospital for treatment.
The Status Of The Child
WMUR-TV reports the newborn is alive and currently at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Eckersley reportedly gave birth inside a tent with the heat off. In addition, the weather was only about 18 degrees outside. Officers discover the child naked and suffering from hypothermia.
