The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating three caregivers charged with homicide/child abuse that occurred on Friday.

The Caregivers Were Accused of Homicide/Child Abuse

On Dec. 16, three caregivers were recently charged with the alleged neglect, abuse, and beating to death of a 4-year-old girl named Kaliyah King after authorities reportedly found her unresponsive at Children’s Wisconsin hospital according to WITI-TV reports.

The three responsible caregivers are Winston Chambers, 29, Princess Arredondo, 29, and Chambers’ mother, Corinne Beechtree, 56, they are the ones who acted as the 4-year-old’s caregivers because the victim’s mother was homeless.  Chambers was first interviewed on Dec. 15, he allegedly said that King fell from her bed and vomited o she stayed home from school the next day. Chambers also claims that King was been hit by a car. However,  Chambers’ statement doesn’t support any evidence found of a crash incident.

King Was Beat Up As A Punishment

King reportedly refused to do her homework or go to the corner as punishment, so Chambers had to beat the girl with a belt leading her to fall, hitting her head on a toy. Arredondo girlfriend of Chambers is the one who suggests calling 911 after King went unconscious.
Furthermore, Chambers’s statements and timeline of events weren’t consistent with phone records, but he insisted he was not lying, Police say. Later on, Arredondo admitted that Chambers took King into a bedroom when he got home, and she overheard the child screaming and crying. Another child in the home witnessed Chambers beat King with a belt and broom handle, punch King in the stomach, kick her in the legs and punch her in the face.
Chambers, Beechtree, and Arredondo were all checked into the Milwaukee County Jail, records show. All three caregivers are facing a charge of neglecting a child the consequence is death. Furthermore, Arredondo will face an additional charge for chronic neglect of a child, and Chambers also faces a count of physical abuse of a child and repeated, and first-degree reckless homicide.
