On September 20, the first batch of direct payments will begin to arrive in bank accounts, according to Alaska Public Media. Then, paper checks will be mailed and sent out to the residents in early October.
According to the article, the Alaska state Senate approved the $5,500 payouts payment however, the state House contradicted the proposal. Hopkins and other lawmakers nullified a $3,850 compromise suggested by the negotiators between 2-chambers for a total of $3,200.
