New Year, new $800 tax returns for South Carolina residents who have filed their taxes in 2021. The specific amount that the taxpayers will get from this payment will be based on their 2021 tax liability, according to the South Carolina Department of Revenue the remaining amount left after reducing credits from the salary tax they owe. For people whose tax liabilities are lesser than $800, their rebates will be equal to their tax liability, while filers with a tax liability equal to or over $800 will receive exactly $800.
The money from this refund is set to be given to the same bank account the people get their 2021 refund. South Carolina residents who have filed their 2021 SC1040 tax forms starting Oct. 17 can expect this rebate before Dec. 31.
For any eligible taxpayers who want to know when they will receive their payment, they can do so by tracking their payments online. In utilizing the tracking site users will either require their Social Security number or the Individual Taxpayer Identification Number found on their SC1040 form.
