The FBI has found a deceased woman who was wrapped in a trash bag off Florida’s Gulf Coast last weekend.

FBI’s Tampa Field Office said, they identified the woman as 34-year-old Heather Rose Strickland was found floating off Egmont Key at the mouth of Tampa Bay on Saturday.
As reported on FoxNews, Bureau said that Heather Rose Strickland was last seen on December 5, 2022, leaving HCA Florida Largo Hospital at 201 14th Street Southwest in Largo.
The Body Was Discovered by Fishermen
The body of Strickland was first discovered by fishermen operating in the area. According to witnesses, they were spearfishing and headed to the next spot, they found a trash bag, and they tried to pick it up they realized there was something suspicious inside the trash bag.
After opening the plastic and looked the bag that was inside, they said they saw skin and what was believed to be a bra strap or bikini. The witnesses said that they sent out the distress call shortly after they find the body.
The FBI characterized Strickland as being around 5 feet 5 inches tall, with “a tattoo of a Rose on her right thigh and letters ‘B’ and ‘E’ written in Old English Script.
The FBI leads the investigation looking into the incident since the body was found in federal waters.
