Killer Doctor From Ayurvedic Medicine
A 34-year-old lady doctor from Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri in India reportedly disappeared on Nov. 26 and was allegedly killed and cremated by her husband, who is also a doctor.
Abhishek Awasthi, 36, a doctor of ayurvedic medicine, was detained on Monday for questioning and arrested the following day after he confessed to killing his wife Vandana Awasthi, 34, before cremating her body 400 kilometers away on the banks of the Ganga in Garh Mukteshwar, police said. The Times of India reported, Abhishek then filed a missing complaint after murdering his wife at the local police station on November 27 claiming that his wife left home with some valuables and went missing.

However, in the investigation, police learned that the couples have marital issues, leading Abhishek to include them on their watch list. As they run the investigation police found out that Abhishek and his father had called an ambulance and told the driver that the woman died in an accident and taken her body in the vehicle for cremation.
During questioning, Awasthi confessed they had a heated argument with the victim on November 26 Saturday and struck his wife with a heavy object in her head which led to her death. Additionally, Awasthi and his father have reportedly been arrested and sent to jail.
