Jonesboro Woman Scams $80,000 While Pretending As Funeral Employee

In the meantime, Jonesboro Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding 34-year-old Danielle Longino, also known as Danielle Watkins. The suspect is said to be 5 feet tall and weighs 170 pounds. Several families were swindled during the time of mourning, totaling $80,000.

According to a published post by Fox 5, the suspect, Danielle Longino, who jail records show may also use the last name of Langford, now sits in the Clayton County Jail. Jonesboro Police Chief  Tommy Henderson said that she would contact several victims after they suffered a death in the family, while they were making arrangements.

Woman Posed As A Funeral Home Employee To Scam Grieving Families

In accordance with the police, the woman suspected of posing as a funeral home employee to scam grieving families has surrendered to authorities. Jonesboro Police stated that Longino once worked at Watkins Funeral Home. After getting cut off, police say she continued to pose as a Watkins employee and used her knowledge of the business to scam the families.

Police reports also state that she also used another last name, Watkins, to apparently help trick the families trying to reach Watkins Funeral Home. Henderson stated that the families were looking for services at the funeral home, and in some cases, she would contact them.
