Who Can Get The $300 Direct Payments Due in A Few Days?
The contents of House Bill 360 contain all of the components of the 2022 Delaware Relief Rebate Program. This is a one-time direct payment per adult Delaware resident called by the legislation a “relief rebate”. The main goal of this relief is intended to promote the general welfare of Delawareans emerging from the Covid pandemic and facing higher prices at the grocery store and gas pump.
Less than one week for residents to claim direct payments. Delaware residents that haven’t received their 2022 Relief Rebate, can claim this direct payment of $300 to help them with the struggles brought on by inflation and the rising costs of energy prices, especially as the temperatures begin to drop significantly.
According to a published post by Delaware.gov, this Relief Rebate Program was created by House Bill 360 and intended to support residents who are facing higher prices on groceries and gas since the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of these direct payments have already been sent out, around 780,000 of them, to those Delaware residents that filed their 2020 personal income taxes by the due date.
Eligibility And How To Apply For This Direct Payment
There are requirements to receive this $300 direct payment, the recipient must be residents of the state of Delaware that are over 18 years old and have a Social Security number and a valid residential mailing address. The individual must also have an active driver’s license issued by the Delaware DMV before December 31, 2021, or submit any other document that meets verification standards.
Residents can apply online, but the state authorities remind everybody that successful completion of the application process doesn’t guarantee they’ll be approved to receive the relief rebate. There’s still no date for when the new round of payments will be delivered.
