Representative Bill Pascrell Calls for Clarence Thomas’ Resignation as Supreme Court Justice
Rep Bill Pascrell calls for the resignation of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ Resignation due to the lack of faith in Thomas as a neutral actor in the court as the justice presides over the case of Moore vs Harper. The aforementioned case involves the independent state legislature theory which Thomas supports. This has been branded as antithetical to the Constitution and the North Carolina Republicans argue that the Constitution gives state legislatures the exclusive powers to determine the time, place, and manner of elections. According to a published post by Huffpost, the proponents of the strongest form of the theory states that this means that no other organs of the state government can alter a legislature’s actions in federal elections.

Rep Pascrell Doubles Down on Thomas’ Resignation
After his first plea for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ Resignation, Rep Pascrell doubles down on his call as he restated the involvement of Thomas’ wife Ginni to overturn the 2020 election results. Pascrell stated that people have already become numb to the bad acts by powerful individuals but the participation of Clarence and Ginni Thomas is one of the worst breaches of trust ever seen in our court system. He also stated that Clarence Thomas is a corrupt jurist who was poisoned by the High court and should have dignity and final respect to democracy and resign.
