The technology company has announced the launch of Glovo Restaurant Accelerator, a growth support program aimed at local restaurants that stand out for their growth potential and innovative profile.
The initiative of the Spanish firm includes an advisory and consultancy program, led by a specialized team from Glovo and which will include experts from the sector who will give sessions on resource optimization, expansion plans or team management.
Among the companies that have already participated in the first part of the program in our country are Healthy Poke, Piel de Gallina, Circo, RealFooding To Go, Circo Burger and Tamae, and in the future the firm will extend this initiative to the 25 countries where it has presence.
To participate, companies must present their project through an online form. Once the deadline is over, the establishments will be evaluated and selected based on the concept, vision, equipment and financial situation. With the aim that more and more companies can join the initiative, two calls will be held per year. Ten business projects will be selected from among all the applications submitted.
Once this period is over, the finalists will present their projects to relevant investors and entrepreneurs in the sector, who will share their experience and advice to continue promoting their businesses. The platform also provides an investment plan of one million euros for those restaurants that contemplate an expansion plan, both in the same city and to other areas of the country.
As explained by the director of Glovo Restaurant Accelerator, Alberto Bonhomme, “Restaurants have established themselves as a strategic sector in our country and at Glovo we want to contribute to its growth. We come across local businesses that, due to different circumstances, have not been able to materialize their expansion and growth plans. With this project we want to support the industry and help turn the most innovative ideas into projects for the future”.
