FC Cincinnati continues their two match Florida road trip when they face the Tampa Bay Rowdies at Al Lang Stadium on Thursday July 6th. The Orange and Blue will be looking for maximum points after a heavy-legged draw on Saturday against Orlando City B.

These two teams last met in April at Nippert and played to 1-1 stalemate in the second home match of the season. Harrison Delbridge equalized with a header after an early Marcel Schäfer thunderbolt put Tampa Bay ahead. Alan Koch’s side held on for a draw despite finishing with ten men. Kadeem Dacres was shown a red card for his high tackle on forward Deshorn Brown.

FC Cincinnati will look to improve on their away form against the Rowdies. They’ve only won away from Nippert on one occasion this season. Tampa Bay is also trying to improve their overall form. They are coming off of back-to-back away defeats, and haven’t won a match since May 19th against Toronto FC II.

Here are four fast facts to serve as a backdrop for Saturday’s contest.

  • FC Cincinnati has eight different players that have provided assists this season. Five different players have two assists each. Andrew Wiedeman recently took the lead in this statistical category with his third assist of the season against Orlando City B.
  • Tampa Bay plays a physical brand of soccer. They have accumulated 44 yellow cards to date this season. Compare that to FC Cincinnati’s 26. It’s worth noting the FC Cincinnati racked up four early red cards, the last one coming April 29th against Bethlehem Steel FC. Tampa Bay has none.
  • Tampa Bay started the season red hot, winning five of their first eight matches. They’ve cooled off considerably though and are winless in seven coming into this contest.
  • Both teams are averaging exactly one goal conceded per game. However Tampa Bay has not kept a clean sheet for eight consecutive matches.
