FC Cincinnati continues its May home stand on Saturday when they face the ever-present Bethlehem Steel FC. Steel FC currently sits on nine points and occupies eighth place in the Eastern Conference, one place above FC Cincinnati. The Orange and Blue head into USL competition for the first time this season in a position outside of the playoff spots. This is a critical match. Three points are really necessary.

Here are four fast facts to serve as a backdrop for Saturday’s contest.

  • FC Cincinnati has produced 21 shots with 9 on target against Steel FC over two matches this season and are yet to score against this opponent. It’s worth noting that FC Cincinnati was issued a red card in each of those games. The dismissal in the first game, in particular, limited the Orange and Blue’s attack.
  • Matt Bahner and Mitch Hildebrandt have been constants for FC Cincinnati this season, each playing every minute of the regular season to date.
  • Captain James Chambers has only played three games for Steel FC but has racked up 203 passes (4th highest on team) with an 86.2% passing accuracy in that short time. He is their midfield engine. Chambers missed the first four games of the season due to a death in the family.
  • Harrison Delbridge is an aerial presence in the back. He has been in 14 more aerial duels (43) than any other defender and leads all defenders in aerial dual win percentage (74%).
