Okoli Double Halts FC Cincinnati Skid

FC Cincinnati claimed a critical 2-1 victory over Saint Louis FC on Monday afternoon.

FC Cincinnati claimed a critical 2-1 victory over Saint Louis FC at Nippert Stadium on Monday afternoon. The win was secured in dramatic fashion when Sean “Ugo” Okoli thumped home a stoppage time penalty kick to secure all three points for the Orange and Blue. The penalty kick was awarded for a handball in the box against Saint Louis FC defender James Musa in the 93rd minute. Okoli scored both goals for FC Cincinnati in the match. Interestingly, all three goals came at or after the 84th minute of play.

The win halts a recent poor run of form for FC Cincinnati, who had only one win in their past six games.
